The new generation of compact PCB connectors sets the standard in connection technology for signal and I/O applications. With a wide range of products in the 3,50 mm and 3,81 mm series – including double-row variants – the systems offer maximum connection density in a minimum of space and close the gap between increasing functional requirements and limited space in device design.
The dual-row solutions enable a particularly high package density for standard industrial cables up to 1,5 mm² and significantly reduce the space required compared to larger pitch sizes – whilst maintaining full mechanical robustness and industrial reliability. This means that miniaturization is not just a question of space, but a genuine efficiency benefit across the entire device design.
PUSH IN technology ensures tool-free, maintenance-free wiring and enables fast, secure connections even under demanding conditions. The system is complemented by touch-safe male headers, intuitive coding options, large labelling areas and insulation materials free from halogens for future-proof device designs.
Optimized for industrial manufacturing processes, the plug-in connectors are suitable for reflow soldering and automation and support efficient assembly and installation processes. The result is a high-performance, application-oriented connection solution for compact device architectures in industrial electronics – efficient, with strong security and future-proof.
The B2C/S2C 3.50 series represents the next generation of compact signal connection technology. It combines maximum connection density with industrial robustness and has been specially developed for the field connection of sensor cables up to 1,5 mm². The dual-row design closes the gap between increasing functional requirements and limited installation space in device design.
The 3.50 mm pitch offers a particularly space-saving solution which requires significantly less space than larger pitch sizes, whilst at the same time providing high mechanical stability.
PUSH IN technology ensures tool-free, maintenance-free wiring and enables quick, secure connections. The system is complemented by touch-safe male headers, clear markings, intuitive coding and materials free from halogens for future-proof applications.
Optimized for industrial manufacturing processes, the series supports efficient installation, automated placement and reflow-compatible processing – for compact, high-performance device architectures.
Fast connection, tool-free locking and unlocking, and finger protection make this connector system both attractive and safe to use.
High level of contact density on a small surface along with the high connection cross-section make it possible to design compact units with high technical performance for even more applications.
Cables up to 1.5 mm² can be connected easily using ferrule terminals, and cables up to 1.0 mm² can be connected using ferrule terminals with plastic collars.
An enhanced spring steel and the contour of the contact element guarantee permanent and reliable contacting.
Performance is relative: Small grid, large connection cross-section. The single row PCB connector systems of the BL/SL 3.50 series connect high performance with a compact design, thereby striking the ideal balance between miniaturizationand functionality in industrial electronics.
As the ideal solution for signal and I/O applications, these plug-in connectors offer outstanding electrical performance whilst maintaining a compact profile. The wide clamping range of 0.20 to 1,5 mm² (IEC) / AWG 28–14 allows for flexible applications with a wide variety of types of conductors.
With dielectric strengths of up to 250 V (IEC) / 300 V (UL) and current ratings of up to 17 A (IEC) / 10 A (UL), the systems meet the most stringent requirements in industrial environments. Proven connection technologies such as clamping yokes and PUSH IN ensure maximum design flexibility, whilst the optional reflow capability enables efficient integration into automated manufacturing processes.
The result: more performance in less space – for sophisticated, future-proof device architectures.
A perfect fit: With the standard accessory ZQV 1.5N/R3.5/2-4, pluggable cross-connections are possible with up to four poles.
The plug-in connector has two mounting flanges so fixation is possible either with the lock & release lever or by means of a classical cable gland.
Optional, available with PUSH IN or screw connections – ideal for your application.
Select male headers for wave soldering or reflow soldering.
The BL-I/O 3.5 product family has been specially developed for efficient, space-saving field connections for sensors and actuators. As an extremely compact single- or triple-row female plug with PUSH IN spring connection, it enables secure, tool-free wiring and high connection density in a minimal installation space.
With integrated cross-connections for potential distribution and variants featuring an optional LED display, the BL-I/O 3.5 offers far more than just a connection system. The built-in LEDs are ready for easy functional testing even during sensor wiring, and simplify commissioning and diagnostics.
Thanks to backward compatibility with existing field connection concepts, BL-I/O 3.5 can be flexibly integrated into a variety of system architectures. At the same time, the compact design significantly reduces the space required on the PCB and simplifies the layout – for efficient, high-performance and future-proof I/O solutions in automation.
The BL-I/O female plug in the 3,50 mm pitch is an extremely compact, single- or triple row solution for the connection of decentralised sensors and actuators. Despite its minimal installation space, it features an integrated LED display and cross-connections for potential distribution.
Simply insert rigid or flexible conductors with wire end ferrules, finished. The connection point can be easily opened at the touch of a button, and the conductor can be reinserted in no time at all – even without a wire-end ferrule. Disconnecting the wire is just as easy: press the button and pull out the wire.
Since the supply voltage to the sensors is fed in directly through the BL-I/O 3.50 female plug, the functional control of the sensor wiring itself can be done without subsequent I/O electronics. This simplifies the commissioning and simultaneously leaves more room on the control unit.
Special cross-connections, which we have integrated into two and three rows in the female plugs, distribute the supply potential to the individual I/O channels. In this way you can input, transfer or bridge the supply voltage. Thus you can save space with the I/O electronics and you can reduce your wiring overhead.
The BC/SC 3.81 series plug-in connectors set new standards in the established market for signal connectors. With a current-carrying capacity of up to 17.5 A at ambient temperatures of up to 65 °C, they offer exceptional performance reserves and connect high robustness with the most comprehensive product line in their class.
The system offers a wide range of applications in wire-to-board, wire-to-wire, board-to-board and board-to-wire applications. When used in conjunction with SCZ male plugs and BCL female headers, these also enable inverted, touch-safe outputs as well as flexible connection concepts for modern device architectures.
PUSH IN technology ensures tool-free, vibration-resistant wiring whilst also enabling a particularly compact design with a low height. Reflow-compatible variants, a wide range of accessories and custom coding and labelling options offer maximum design freedom.
The result is a high-performance, flexible connector system for ambitious industrial applications – featuring high electrical headroom, safe handling and a future-proof design.
PUSH IN spring connection technology: direct connection without tools – simply plug in the prepared conductors – finished! Intuitive operation using large release buttons.
Reliable flange connections, easy to use and protect the electronic modules when they are removed: screw flange, release lever or release latch.
Minimal height, maximum clamping force and PUSH IN: The SCDN 3.81 simply accommodates two 7,9 mm flat BCF 3.81 plugs with 1.5 mm² wire-end ferrules.
High power reserves allow applications without restrictions up to the maximum wiring power rating - even in high ambient temperatures.
