Using glass-fibre reinforced plastic with the SL 5.08 HC and SL-SMT 5.08 male headers ensures a high level of dimensional stability and prevents what is known as the "banana effect" – the printed-circuit board sagging – in the soldering process.
More use with less effort: the soldering flange reduces 3 steps to one while protecting the soldering points from regular mechanical stress. A uniform drill hole diameter, no fixing of the fastening screw – additional fastening takes place automatically in the soldering process.
1.5 mm short pins for flush solder joints permit PCB assembly on both sides in accordance with IPC A-610 and also reduces the solder paste volume significantly. At the same time, the required stroke of the pick-and-place machine is reduced to a minimum. Alternatively: 3.2 mm pins for PCBs with a thickness of 1,6 mm.
