The LSF-SMD meets the requirements for fully automated PCB assembly as an SMD component. Two SMD solder pads per pole ensure high mechanical stability in accordance with IPC-A-610 Class 2. This enables applications on PCBs made of glass, ceramic, and aluminium composite materials to also benefit from PUSH IN technology. Weidmüller’s existing range of reflow-compatible LSF SMT terminals with THR soldering has been expanded to include a true SMD variant. The various module sizes ranging from 3,50 mm to 7,62 mm and the conductor exit angles of 90°, 135° and 180° allow for high package density with a maximum wire cross-section of 1,5 mm².
Tool-free, secure connection of conductors up to 1,5 mm² thanks to proven PUSH IN technology. The integrated actuator enables fast and convenient disconnection of the connection.
The LCP material does not cause blistering and does not need pre-drying (MSL 1). Direct placement using the SMT process is possible.
The strap packaging in standard widths enables an efficient, automated assembly process. The optimised pick-and-place pads guarantee a safe and reliable pick-and-place process.
Thanks to two solder pins per terminal, the LSF-SMD PCB connection is securely attached to the PCB and does not require an additional mounting flange.
